Careers education, information, advice and guidance at Benjamin Britten School

Careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) at our school is underpinned by the Department for Education's statutory guidance and structured around the eight Gatsby Benchmarks:

For an overview of what this means for each year group, please take a look at our Careers Guidance Policy, available here: https://www.benjaminbritten.school/31/9A4C7W0JCT6YGFMW2C.pdf/Careers-Guidance-Policy

A report on how the school is meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks is submitted to the Local Governing Body for scrutiny, annually.

The Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 establishes a specific set of minimum legal requirements for provider access, meaning each student in Years 8-11 will receive at least four opportunities to engage with technical education providers by the time they finish school. More information on this can be found in our Provider Access Policy, available here: https://www.benjaminbritten.school/31/Q5YN163415Q2E6LH20.pdf/Provider-Access-Policy
