About our website

We made our first website in 1997 and we've been making our own websites ever since.

In 2007 we adopted and customised a content management system (which allows staff to add their own content) and in 2010 we wrote our own CMS.

We use a handful of libraries, but most of what we use we've developed ourselves. Our backend is written in C# and sits on our own IIS webserver in school. We recently started using Vuejs on the client, and all the JavaScript modules are bundled with Webpack which includes some legacy browser support. If you're reading this then it must be working!

Uh-oh - we were unable to load our website on your browser so we're showing you a plain HTML version.

We use many features found in modern browsers and regrettably yours seems incompatible.

However this legacy version contains (very, very nearly) all the same content. Each page is rendered on our server and doesn't rely on any browser features except the odd font. It doesn't even need Javascript or fancy CSS. It's like being in 1995!
