We are so proud to introduce the Benjamin Britten students who have decided to undertake a four week humanitarian expedition to rural Cambodia in 2021:
Emily Alexander 9LG, Louie Farman 9AW, Lewis Norton 9OB, Mia Poll 9SN, Cameron Ross 9LG, Holly Simons 9FC, Lily Smith 9LG, Tia Thorn 9LG, Linquen Hudson 9PW, Tommy Hendricks 9AW, Harrison Rigg 9AW and Jake Harker 9AC.
These brilliant and brave young people have now each embarked upon their fundraising campaigns to raise their expedition fees over the course of the next eighteen months. So far they have held bake sales, crafted Christmas goodies, approached local businesses for sponsorship and more.
Some of the funds raised go towards the cost of travel and accommodation for the students and the rest is put towards the resources needed to facilitate these life enhancing projects taking place in incredibly impoverished communities. Typically, these include building materials, teaching resources, medical and sanitation equipment etc.
If you would like to help our students on their way, please do click on the fundraising links which will appear on this page over the next few weeks. Anything you can contribute, no matter how large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
For more information on this project and to understand why the school has decided to embark upon it, please head to the Camps International website: https://campsinternational.com/
