Ipad Drawing Workshop

Two groups of Year 8 had the opportunity to take part in an exciting workshop at school.

It was lead by the artist Alfie Carpenter, a landscape artist who uses collage, he was supported by Andrew Wisher from Suffolk Libraries.

The event was funded through the Arts Council.

Students were encouraged to think about portraiture and how the artist can express an emotion through visual and written images. They formed collages which would be incorporated into their final image and then developed skills using ProCreate on the Ipads.

They managed to develop some exciting outcomes and we hope they will continue to extend their ideas through the free workshops available at Lowestoft Libraries. All students are welcome to go along to these workshops and have fun exploring this exciting digital medium.

Dates for workshops: Tuesday and Thursday Evenings 12th, 14th, 19th and 21st March 4.40pm to 6.30pm

and one Saturday 16th March 10am to 12pm
