On the afternoon of June 8, scholars from all year groups took part in the Race for Life on behalf of Cancer Research UK. Hundreds of our students assembled at the start line in glorious sunshine and were sent on their way for two laps of the cross-country course. Many took the opportunity to don costume and fancy dress for the occasion and numerous personal best running times were set. Staff marshalling the course gave encouragement as each runner made their way around the track until the finish line was reached. To round off the afternoon, medals were handed out to each year group and an ice-cream given to each student. Congratulations to all who took part for such a worthy cause, the total amount raised will be announced very soon!
