On Friday 11th November, the school joined together in an act of commemoration to mark Armistice Day and the centenary of the Battle of the Somme. Over 100 scholars attended the service of commemoration held in the Dining Hall, led by Deputy Headmaster Mr. Park and the Rev. Michael Asquith. The names of men from Lowestoft killed during the Battle of the Somme in 1916 were also recited. After observing a minute’s silence, a poppy wreath was dedicated and a prayer spoken for the fallen. A number of our scholars also took the opportunity to pay their respects on behalf of the various armed forces by attending school in their cadet uniforms.
