NessFest 2021 is back; bigger and better than ever!


Lowestoft’s Youth Arts and Heritage Festival makes a return to live, in-person workshops as well as online activities, all half-term from Monday 25th Oct to Friday 29th October.

Film students might be interested in the Treasure hunt – it’s delivered by Into Film and involves finding and filming landmarks in Lowestoft based on a set of clues. The final films will be submitted to Into Film and a prize awarded to the most creative.


English & Creative writing students

-          Writing for Stage and Screen with James McDermott – online, live Monday 25th Oct from 12-2pm


Art students

-          Street Art workshops including graffiti, murals, 3D installation & posca pens


Music students

-          First Light Spinback tasters including intro to music production, drumming & song-writing

-          Britten Pears Arts Making music workshop


Dance students

-          Online Hip hop workshop

-          Live dance party workshop at Seagull Theatre


Although obviously everyone is welcome to give something new a go!


Other Festival Highlights include:

-          Virtual performance stage

-          Live performance at Seagull Theatre featuring young local talent

-          Knight School: learn medieval combat moves and then put them to the test (whilst wearing specially made protective equipment!) – live in various locations all week


It’s aimed at 11-19 year olds, all FREE and running all week during October half-term.
