Futures Fest @ the Minster Church of St Nicholas
On Thursday 5th July, the Minster Church of St Nicholas will open its doors to Futures Fest, a careers event with a difference. The event is a new way of inspiring young people and parents in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area to consider the options available after leaving school or college.
Exhibitors will be attending from 30 + universities and employers in the region and further afield to inspire everyone to think beyond the obvious. Local universities such as UEA, the Universities of Cambridge and Suffolk will be there along with University College London, the Universities of Reading, Essex and Falmouth to name but a few. Aviva Digital, Norfolk Constabulary, Lovewell Blake Accountants, Santander and the NHS will be some of the employers available throughout the event.
From 5:00pm Futures Fest will also become a community arts festival with young people from local schools and colleges performing dance and music acts. Local artists will be providing creative activities including a circus skills drop in for all to enjoy. Free chips and ice-creams will also be available in the evening, making it a fun community event where visitors can still speak to the exhibitors and plan their future.
