Year 7 had an amazing trip to Ipswich Museums, they spent the day drawing from the extraordinary and diverse collection. The day was spread over two museums Christchurch Mansion and Ipswich Museum. They discovered the history of the ghost, engaged, through drawing, with objects from birds of prey to a woolly mammoth.
Saw objects that linked to the world war as well as going back in time to Ancient Egypt and Saxon times.
Explored the Wolsey gallery and the amazing drawings and paintings to be seen in Christchurch Mansion along with Benjamin Britten's sisters wedding dress and other artefacts.
Many thanks to all the staff who made the trip so successful and to museum staff for all their help and support, in particular Tim and Saskia.
Well Done Year 7's!!!
