School Council Youth Politics Expo

On Wednesday 1 March, 14 members of the School Council attended a Youth Politics Expo at Sams Coffee House in Lowestoft, to strengthen their understanding of how the UK political system works and to engage with local and national campaign groups and political parties.

Scholars spoke with representatives from the Conservative Party, Labour Party, Green Party, UKip, Make Votes Matter, CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament), Greenpeace, British Youth Council, Friends of the Earth, Norfolk LGBT Project, Amnesty International, Suffolk Assembly of Youth and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce.

Our thanks are extended to Access Community Trust (ACT) who organised the event- our scholars thoroughly enjoyed the occasion and are looking forward to furthering this learning at forthcoming workshops hosted by ACT.
